Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), also known as OffSec Certified Professional, is an ethical hacking certification offered by Offensive Security (or OffSec) that teaches penetration testing methodologies and how to use the tools included with the Kali Linux distribution (the successor to Back Track). It mixes traditional course materials with hands-on simulations in a virtual lab setting. This is a basic penetration testing course. The OSCP (Pentesting with Kali) is a hands-on penetration testing certification provided at Hacking Teacher that requires holders to successfully assault and penetrate multiple real machines in a secure lab setting. It is considered more technical than other ethical hacking certifications, and it is one of the few that requires practical penetration testing experience.
